Grade B is considered the extraction grade. It’s usually drier (moisture content about 20%) which means less water content to interfere with your extract, and produces concentrated vanilla flavor, making them ideal for homemade vanilla extract. The Grade B pods may contain minor imperfections such as splits and cuts. The lower moisture content makes them less plump than the Premium Grade A pods.
