  • Basic Preparation To use a vanilla bean, cut each end off from the vanilla bean and slice through the vanilla bean lengthwise, remove the paste from inside the vanilla bean and use as needed.
  • Recommended Applications Use in a variety of cooking and baking applications, including vanilla sugar, sweet sauces, ice cream, cakes and cookies, and homemade vanilla extract. Use vanilla seeds to add a gourmet visual cue to ice cream, custards and crème brûlées. Add to coffee grinds for vanilla-flavored coffee, or add pods to sugar to make vanilla sugar.

Traditional Aroma, Lackluster Appearance

The smell is very good: nothing close to that original Madagascar vanilla scent! Although, the looks of the beans were a little more dryer than expected.

Must-have for the Holiday Season

I use these vanilla beans for all my baking especially around the holidays and my Christmas cookies and all baking has a deep rich vanilla flavor and scent I love love these vanilla beans! Hearty Aroma, Sustainable Source

The smell of these beans are so nice when you open the - vacuum seal? You can get a whiff just going near the bag. I love it! The beans are very dry N I have to rinse them off thoroughly before preparing. While that doesn't necessarily make or break it for me, I understand from a friend that beans shouldn't be dry. I commend the company's involvement in fair trade and their support of the environment.
